I love football season—it’s a great excuse to make crowd-pleasing dips. This recipe is simple, fast, and tasty, and it’s one of my go-to party starters.
It takes less than five minutes to prepare and uses common fridge staples, so it’s ideal to whip up right before guests arrive.
Serve it with chips, celery, or alongside wings—guests always ask for seconds.

BUFFALO BLEU CHEESE DIP INGREDIENTS
● Mayo: 1/2 cup mayonnaise.
● Sour cream: 1/2 cup sour cream.
● Frank’s or cayenne pepper sauce: 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper sauce (adjust to taste).
● Crumbled bleu cheese: 1/4 cup, plus extra for topping.
● Salt & pepper: To taste.
● Scallions: About 2 scallions, thinly chopped.

HOW TO MAKE BUFFALO BLEU CHEESE DIP
To prepare this dip:
STEP 1: In a large bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, sour cream, cayenne pepper sauce, crumbled bleu cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.
STEP 2: Spoon the dip into a serving bowl. Top with a few extra bleu cheese crumbles, the chopped scallions, and a light drizzle of cayenne pepper sauce for presentation and extra kick.
STEP 3: Serve immediately with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or as a dipping sauce for wings.

ADDITIONAL TIPS
Make ahead: You can prepare the dip up to 2–3 days in advance and store it covered in the refrigerator. Wait to add the extra bleu cheese crumbles, scallions, and final drizzle of sauce until just before serving so they stay fresh.
Extra hot? Increase the cayenne pepper sauce by one or two tablespoons to boost heat. For a crowd, consider making two batches—one hotter and one milder—to suit different tastes.
