Gluten Free Tombstone Brownies — spooky, top 8 allergen-friendly treats topped with chocolate tombstones and white chocolate bones.
This post was created in collaboration with Enjoy Life Foods and My Gluten Free Miami. All opinions are my own.
Gluten Free Tombstone Brownies
No Halloween spread is complete without a few edible tombstones. These gluten free tombstone brownies are easy to make, fun to decorate, and a hit with kids and adults alike.
They’re also top 8 allergen friendly when you use Enjoy Life Foods products, so more people can enjoy them safely.

I like using Enjoy Life Foods for party treats because their products are free from common allergens, making it easier for everyone to participate. In a gluten-free household with friends who avoid dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, or soy, allergen-friendly recipes let more guests dig in without worry.

The new mini chocolate bars are ideal for tombstone toppers: they come in regular, dark, and crunch varieties. I love the crunch, my toddler prefers regular, and my partner favors dark—so the variety pack is perfect.
These mini bars sit nicely against the brownie graves. I used white icing to pipe “RIP,” but feel free to personalize each tombstone. Decorating is a great kid-friendly activity.

How to Create Spooky Tombstone Brownies
These brownies are straightforward to assemble and require minimal ingredients and time.
- Start with a pan of brownies. I used Enjoy Life Foods Brownie Mix, which is top 8 allergen free and has added protein and probiotics.
- Use white icing to write RIP on the mini chocolate bars. If store-bought icing isn’t suitable for your allergies, make a simple icing by mixing 1/2 cup powdered sugar with about 2 teaspoons dairy-free milk, adjusting to the desired consistency.
- Melt about 1/2 cup of chocolate in short bursts in the microwave until smooth. I used Enjoy Life Mega Chunks for melting.
- Spread the melted chocolate over each brownie grave to create a smooth surface for the tombstone.
- Pipe a dab of icing at the top of the brownie, stand the mini chocolate bar upright as the tombstone, and press gently into the icing so it holds.
- Finish by piping small white chocolate bones or using white icing to draw bone shapes for a spooky touch.

These tombstone brownies are perfect for letting kids decorate. Swap the typical “decorate your own cupcake” activity for “decorate your own grave” — a delightfully morbid twist that’s perfect for Halloween and sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
