Valentine’s Chocolate Hedgehog Treats: Cute No-Bake Desserts

Share the love on Valentine’s Day—or any day—with these adorable Valentine Chocolate Hedgehogs. They’re playful, simple to assemble, and make a sweet gift or snack that’s almost too cute to eat.

Strawberries decorated with candy eyes and chocolate noses are nestled in round chocolate nests with sprinkles.

To assemble these hedgehogs, pipe dark or milk chocolate into oval “nest” shapes on parchment paper, leaving a round hole in the center. Sprinkle chocolate sprinkles around the outer edge to mimic quills. Once the chocolate has set, place each nest over a strawberry that’s been topped with candy eyes and a piped chocolate nose.

Chocolate-covered strawberry bites topped with candy eyes, brown sprinkles, and cartoon-like facial expressions arranged on a gray surface.

Equipment

  • parchment paper
  • toothpick
  • piping utensil or bag

Ingredients

  • 7 strawberries
  • 150 grams milk chocolate, or dark
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate sprinkles
  • 14 candy eyes

Instructions

  • Trim the leafy end of each strawberry so it sits upright on a flat base.
  • Melt the chocolate gently until smooth, then transfer it to a piping utensil or a small piping bag.
  • On parchment paper, pipe oval chocolate shapes to form the hedgehog’s body, leaving a round hole in the center for the strawberry to fit through.
  • Sprinkle chocolate sprinkles around the outer edge of each oval to create the quill texture.
  • Allow the chocolate nests to set completely.
  • Pipe a small dot of chocolate near the pointed top of each strawberry to form the nose.
  • Use a toothpick dipped in melted chocolate to attach the candy eyes just above the nose.
  • When the chocolate nests are firm, place each nest over the strawberry face so the fruit peeks through the center.
  • Serve immediately or chill briefly to keep the chocolate crisp.
