I love sugar scrub. I LOVE it! I enjoy many kinds of scrubs, and right now I’m especially fond of this Brown Sugar Coffee Scrub. It smells amazing and leaves skin feeling silky smooth.
This scrub helps even dimpled skin look smoother. Caffeine is often touted for temporarily improving the appearance of cellulite, and while I wouldn’t promise permanent results, I do notice a visible, short-term improvement when I use this scrub along with a cellulite brush. I’m in my thirties and have had a baby, so I accept that a little cellulite is part of life — but combined with regular exfoliation, the skin looks firmer and more even. I’m not posting before-and-after photos, but I can vouch for the pleasant, noticeable effect.
Even if reducing cellulite isn’t your goal, this brown sugar coffee scrub is simply delightful. In addition to brown sugar and coffee, the recipe includes coconut oil, olive oil, and baby oil. Coconut oil is a favorite of mine — it nourishes both skin and hair and gives the scrub a luxurious, moisturizing feel.
Brown Sugar Coffee Scrub
Ingredients:
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup ground coffee
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup baby oil
Directions: Mix all ingredients together until well combined. To use, massage the scrub into wet skin in gentle circular motions, then rinse thoroughly. Pat skin dry and enjoy the soft, smooth finish.
This scrub is perfect for a spa day at home. I like to store it in a pretty jar and add twine for a homemade touch—great for gifting. Many of the supplies I used, like the jar and twine, were inexpensive finds. That said, this particular jar is for me.
