I’ve been feeling time move a little faster lately. The music from my teenage years is now labeled “classic,” and grown adults sometimes miss the cultural references from my childhood. My husband turns 40 this year — an age I once thought of as old, but now seems far from it. He’s not the only one hitting that milestone.

Pizza has always been a staple in my life: birthday parties, school pizza days, or Friday nights with a movie. No matter how you slice it, pizza is a beloved comfort food. When I think of pizza growing up, I remember laughing with friends and family — like my best friend Airin in the photo above. (We were 18 and waiting to rinse our hair color; I chose red!) Life felt simpler then: fewer responsibilities and less technology.

Because of that nostalgia, it’s important to me that our family eats dinner together whenever possible. We use that time to connect without distractions: the television is off and phones are put away. It’s just conversation and food.

Pizza is a quick, popular choice at our house, so I like keeping a couple of frozen pizzas on hand for fast lunches or dinners. My husband laughed when I mentioned partnering with Red Baron for this post — it’s our go-to frozen pizza and he often says Red Baron makes the best. Maybe they heard him!

My husband and our older two kids never tire of pizza, so they always light up when they hear it’s on the menu.

These shared meals remind me of my own childhood, when family dinners were the norm. Those evenings are about togetherness — a chance to talk about the day and enjoy each other’s company. I already know how quickly these moments pass.

Red Baron pizzas start with a perfect crust that bakes to a satisfying golden brown. They’re topped with a robust sauce seasoned with herbs and spices, and finished with a generous layer of cheese — a pizza everyone can enjoy.
Celebrating 40 Years
Like my husband, Red Baron is celebrating 40 years. They’re honoring pizza night traditions and trends from four decades, showcasing how pizza has remained a timeless favorite for families.
Browsing through the decades brought back familiar memories — I loved my viewfinder as a child!

I also noticed how styles evolve and blend. If you combine the general shape of a 1970s fixture with the glass and brass of the 1980s, you can see echoes of the chandelier in our 1990s home.

Help celebrate Red Baron’s 40th anniversary by enjoying a family pizza night of your own.
