Emily: Hello, Tory — thank you for being here. You were actually my very first interview, and I’m excited to talk about how cannabis intersects with motherhood and holistic living.

Tory: Thanks, Emily. I appreciate how accessible you make cannabis education — practical and down-to-earth for busy families. I taught nutrition for seven years at OU and later shifted into other roles before starting my journey with cannabis.

Tory describes discovering cannabis during visits to Colorado, initially feeling skeptical because of cultural and religious influence. Over time she explored microdosing and infused oils, discovering pain relief, calm, and functional benefits. She now uses FECO, infused oils, edibles, and recently started smoking, all with intentionality and education.

Emily: We discuss the parallels between nutrition and cannabis — both are bio-individual practices that require self-experimentation and body awareness to find what works.

Tory shares a transformative parenting moment: after taking a small dose of oil she responded calmly when her child spilled a drink, recognizing the plant helped her be more present, patient, and engaged. Using cannabis intentionally became part of her daily self-care and improved her ability to set boundaries and model responsible self-care for her children.

They also talk about broader themes: moving from stigma to harm-reduction, trusting personal experience, and the importance of storytelling to normalize plant medicine for parents and caregivers.

Tory: Cannabis helped me come home to myself, understand my body and mind, and reclaim identity beyond roles. I trust my body more now and use the plant responsibly for mental and physical health, pain relief, and emotional regulation.

Emily: We agree it’s vital to frame cannabis as one tool among many in a self-care toolbox — alongside sleep, movement, nutrition, and mindfulness.

Tory reflects on personal losses and how the plant became meaningful in healing. She encourages women to trust their intuition and own their choices. Triple Moon Consulting offers guidance that supports people in taking responsibility for their own health and walking an authentic path, rather than following hierarchical prescriptions.
