Smoothie bowls may not be trending on every feed, but they remain a delicious option at juice bars — and they’re even better made at home. They’re quick, affordable, and fun to customize. I bring mine out again as the weather warms, filling the blender with frozen fruit and creamy add-ins for an ice-cream-like breakfast that feels indulgent and nourishing.

This Strawberry Mango Smoothie Bowl blends frozen strawberries and mango with steamed, frozen cauliflower, cashew butter, vanilla protein powder, and a splash of almond milk. The result is light, naturally sweet, and satisfying — a plant-based, protein-packed start to the day, ideal after a warm-weather workout.

What You Need to Make Strawberry Mango Smoothie Bowl

Simple, wholesome ingredients make this bowl both creamy and nutritious. You’ll need:

  • unsweetened almond milk
  • vanilla protein powder
  • frozen strawberries
  • frozen mango
  • frozen cauliflower (previously steamed)
  • cashew butter

That’s it — plus any toppings you love for texture and extra flavor.

How to Make Strawberry Mango Smoothie Bowl

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and process until the mixture is thick, silky, and smooth. Pause to scrape down the sides as needed so everything blends evenly.

The goal is a thick, scoopable texture without lumps of frozen fruit or cauliflower. A quick test: if you turn the blender container upside down, the contents shouldn’t drip out.

I often use the tamper or toggle on my Vitamix for better control, but any powerful blender will work if you scrape and blend until creamy.

Toppings for Strawberry Mango Smoothie Bowl

Transfer the blended smoothie to a bowl and finish with crunchy and bright toppings. My favorites are granola, pineapple chips, shredded coconut, and cacao nibs. Other great options include fresh berries or fruit, hemp hearts, nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit.

Enjoy the bowl immediately with a spoon — the contrast between creamy base and crunchy toppings is best fresh. If the bowl feels too cold, a short rest at room temperature or a cozy blanket makes the experience more comfortable.

How to Serve Strawberry Mango Smoothie Bowl

This smoothie bowl works well as a quick, blended breakfast or a post-workout meal. Make the cauliflower ahead by steaming and freezing it so the bowl is ready in minutes on busy mornings.

If you prefer a drinkable smoothie instead of a bowl, thin the mixture with additional almond milk until it reaches your desired consistency. The flavor remains the same — strawberry and mango with a creamy, subtly nutty backbone from cashew butter.

Serve immediately and enjoy a bright, protein-rich start to your day.
